Problems

But now I’m considering opening a Internet Cafe in another country where there is demand, or other ideas, all involving games. Also, I’ve been likewise looking at Open Source solutions that libraries use (a free access business model), to fully automatized kiosks that accept cash and cards, to no special tracking software at all — as there are mechanical solutions.

Hi Alex,My recommendation would be Windows 7 Home Premium, since the only things these computers will be used for is surfing and gaming. Pro would be ideal, but it is significantly more expensive, and I fail to see a significant benefit of using it.

The thing youshould be more concerned with (in my opinion), is the graphics card and accelerator. These are crucial for ensuring the success of gaming PCs. For one thing you should be aware that standard home computers, in terms of hardware, are not designed for seriousgaming.

I don't know what type of PCs you have for this cafe.but those are my thoughts.Hope this helps!Mithrandir. Thank you for the reply ZigZag3143,1) The business I'm running would be focused solely on allowing customers to play games and surfing the net on my PCs. I presume W7 Pro would suffice2) I will have 40 PCs running, so I'm definitely hoping to buy a volume license (that would mean purchasing 2 of those, right?)Appreciate the help. Also, is there anything else that i should take note of regarding OS licensing?AlexPro is fine, and definitely the volume license. Here is a link to info on the volume licneseCat herder Windows Insider MVP MVP-Windows and Devices for IT http://www.zigzag3143.com/. That's a lot of computers, if you plan to manage these computers or connect to a Windows Server, Windows 7 Professional would be recommended. To save on cost, Volume Licensing would be recommended.

Please note, in order to use volume licensing Windows, the machines must be properly licensed first with a genuine full version or OEM copy of Windows 7 Professional. If they don't have these you willbe out of compliance. This means you will need to get genuine Windows.Best, Andre Windows Insider MVP MVP-Windows and Devices for IT twitter/adacosta groovypost.com.
